Ledo's Great Hammer is a Weapon in Dark Souls 3. It was added with The Ringed City DLC.

Great Hammer wielded by the Silver Knight Ledo. Ledo's hammer is by far the heaviest weapon amongst those wielded by the knights of Anor Londo.

Ledo, an eccentric who traveled aross the outskirts, became a close friend to the giants and even Havel, the Rock.

Skill: Call to Stone
Spin to lure stones to the steel hammer, and use strong attack to transition into an earth slam that shatters the stones in a shockwave.

Notes and Tips:

  • Upgraded with Twinkling Titanite.
  • Cannot be Infused. Can be Buffed with the Weapon Art.
  • Ledo's Great Hammer has a weapon range of 43.1694xl on the 1h R1, and 36.3865xl on the 2h R1.
  • Outweighs Smough's and Morne's Great Hammer by 4 units. This does not only make it the heaviest Great Hammer, but also the heaviest weapon in the game. It's also stronger than Smough's Great Hammer when 2-handed at 66 Strength (668 AR vs 681 AR )
  • This Great Hammer, along with Smough's Great Hammer and Morne's Great Hammer, have a higher poise health value than the other Great Hammers, with 32.9 poise health instead of the usual 30.8. This means you can have much less poise and still be able to tank through the other Ultras.

Location/Where to Find

  • Dropped by Silver Knight Ledo when he invades you in The Ringed City (Location) Near the very long staircase where the large enemies (Harald) are patrolling, there is a very long ladder that leads up to one of the friendly locust npc's (white preacher). The Ladder is located to the right of the long staircase (at the very bottom of it) in the swamp near 3 cleric turtle enemies. Once you went up the entire ladder there is a way that leads left to a ringed knight but there is also a way to the right, where you can drop off onto a stoney path. You need to follow the path to a room where silver Knight Ledo invades you.
  • After killing Halflight, Spear of the Church (or a player boss for the same boss fight) Silver Knight Ledo will no longer invade. You can however still get his weapon by reviving Judicator Argo at the Purging Monument for a varying amount of souls. Once you've revived Judicator Argo, go to the location where Silver Knight Ledo invades you and kill him to get his weapon (if Silver Knight Ledo doesn't invade use a dried finger bought from the Shrine Handmaid, it should work).

Quick watered down information for this weapon: big bonk hammer weilded by John souls (silver edition) who doesn't afraid of anything.

I used to rock the Splitleaf and Gundyr's Halberd alot for my strength build. Once I made the investment on Ledo's hammer though, I really stuck with it so much. Barring the weight costs and the fact that it can block a bit of your view, this thing is a beauty and looked so good with my millwood chest + vilhelm helm setup. And its surprisingly viable for both PvE and PvP. Especially loved helping others with Sister Freide as I mercilessly pancake her with it. Fun times.

In theory, if Ledo could be friends with half these nutters, then i assume all three of our undeads could have had more friends among some of the enemy and boss rosters throughout the games. Just our undeads never chose to, either because their motives conflicted with everyone else's, we were killing tragic or evil monsters that had to be removed, or because we were too fond of violence solving things, or because even the few friendly ones were distant or took arms against us (even reluctantly).

Man, i totally actually retroactively feel like a jerk for killing these critters now, since some seemed just forced into it, throughout the games.
Oh Ledo, teach me thy secret of friendships and how to make them, as a chummy strength build, if there shoulder ever be a dark souls 4 for whatever reason.

Was struggling with Midir for a long while, and switched to this and took him down finally in two tries with this weapon, dunno if that's a good selling point, but just sayin'

              smough's still coolest!!!

p.s. they shouldve gave smough's hammer a better skill. how disrespectful. i mean atleast try. give the user a jump butt slam which acts as a force/shockwave knock-down maybe have it scale with faith idk

This one's for BAMBAM, a player who invaded me when I was starting to use Ledo's hammer while also wielding Ledo's hammer. Hope you're doing good out there buddy, that Gael kill was in your honor.

It is supremely disappointing that Elden Ring does not have a true equivalent to this hammer. The Call to Stone weapon art could have easily been a Ash of War for Colossal Weapons. Cragblade is the closest we have, but its only the damage buff and nothing else. You can't even shatter the rocks from cragblade with a heavy attack.

You need 29 VIT, Prisoner's Chain, FaP+3 and Havel's+3 for full Ledo's cosplay. And it's totally worth it

50 vigor + iron/rock flesh + perseverance/stomp. With all that defense stacked up, you can go through ledo's weapon art and end up with... 50 hp remaining.

Seriously, do NOT trade against this.

"...became a close friend to the giants, and even Havel the Rock"
Implies Havel was much more of a threat than even the giants

The full WA combos if you miss the first part of the spin in WA L1 and spam the R2 without delay for the smash. You cannot wait for the hit confirmation of the second hit of weapon art spin to land, you have to spam R2 and go all in, if the second part of L1 hits and misses first get ready for some undead pancake.

                          • I don't know how to get this weapon. I don't even know how hard is to get this weapon, only thing i know, is when i play DS3 im gonna use this and smash everything with it

This is incorrect: i just killed halflight, spear of the church, died a few times to some bosses, and then went back to find havels ring and silver knight ledo kept invading untill i killed him.

If you decided to get 6 of these and equip them all at once, you would have 168 weight units, which, when combined with the 3 units for rings, would be 95.7 percent of the maximum carry weight.

Strength builds are easy mode in PVP only if you’re fighting a bad player. It is very tough to fight a decent player using a light weapon with a heavy weapon.

Man this weapon is brain dead in PvE and PvP. I normally run a dex/faith build with the Astora gs (the best build) but decided to try pure strength for NG+2 AoA. This thing trivialized the whole thing. Even Friede. It took like a 5th of her health every combo in every phase. It wasn’t hard at any point. It just dealt too much damage.

In PvP I one shotted someone with the WA+r2 combo. Idk what armor they had or what their stats were at but they just straight up died from full health.

I really don’t get why everyone hates on dex builds. Strength builds take way less skill. They make the game easy.

Sorry host, bad idea to drink estus after a roll. Maybe you forgot that this weapon makes a 1 meter leap with it's r2.

Anyone else getting r1 stunlocked by ledo when he uses this thing? I always thought people are babies when they complain about stunlock and assumed they’re trash. But I literally could not roll after his first 2-hand r1 my weak elfriede cosplayer froze in place every time lmao. Finally got him after a few parries when he was 1-handing.

Here’s a tip for you all when the great club is fully upgraded with heavy gem it does 3 less ar then ledos hammer + you can add resin to the great club sense it’s heavy infused and it swings faster then ledos hammer in short the great club is better and in the beginning of the game

I bet all you casuls that use this trash weapon are a bunch of big tittied lards just like Ledo. You see when you use the Broken Straight Sword you get in shape and gain some skill so you win both ways, keep that in mind ladies.

An observation; the hammer takes on the same texture/appearance as a Heavy Gem when the weapon art is used, which makes sense.

                                                    https://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Heavy+Gem

This could be coincidence but from software are the kings of tiny details like this.

Quick hack for fire buffed Ledo's: moveset swap with the ringed knight spear weapon art and instead of buffing with rocks, Ledo's will be buffed with fire and inflict fire damage split with physical damage. If you do a fully charged R2 when buffed with fire it will shatter rocks as if they were there.

                                                        • Anonymous

What you gain from wielding this weapon is massive strength. But it will cost you from gaining any skill whatsoever and you end up being a dumb ****tard who needs to spam the weapon art to win. Come to think of it most of the casuls I slay that use this don’t do anything other than the weapon art and they end getting backstabbed some many times that they rage quit presumably with the thought “ Uurr litle dex won’t stop cheating... I use hammer for big bonks but I can’t not ever hit him. Dark Souls 3 isn’t fair.” This seems to be the common thought process of the typical strength build to so I don’t get entirely surprised when those trash cans dc. I just thank the gods that the pkcs exists otherwise you wouldn’t be able to put those trash cans in their place. You guys should pick it up too but I guess you don’t have the intelligence to at this point.

Important note about the weapon art. The second spin which combos into the slam will not do so if the opponent is at a far enough distance. If you catch them with the second spin hit and they’re far enough for the hammer head to reach them but not the handle you can expect them to roll away at the last fraction of a second. If they get caught while really close to you it will combo every time. It’s designed to be a combo but one that has an extremely close cut off point.

                                                                • Anonymous

                                                                  • Anonymous

I know it would be whacky but I’d have loved if they gave it a unique running attack which uses the weight of the hammer to plough the spear head through enemies rather than the standard dash slam because as it is in game it’s only for appearance and serves no function.

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

Went in Spear of the Church fight with it... the enemy player tought it was a good idea to tank the full WA + R2 with his insane poise bonus. He died right then and there.

Does anyone know how much Dmg the WA gives the Weapon? Is it a flat buff or is it dependant on something?

                                                                                  • this weapon is a BEAST with the complete weapon art you can take someone out, i always run 66 strength and 2 hand it, if used correctly you can destroy anyone, just be careful because people WILL BACKSTAB you, pretty much every time

                                                                                    • Anonymous
